iPhone Repair Notice

What parts of my iPhone can be replaced / repaired?

When it comes to certain devices, there can be restrictions on how much someone can do, Apple - as of recently, has made it increasingly difficult for independent repair shops to carry out particular repairs on their products, Here I will break down the details for each part,

Bottom/Loud Speaker

The Loud Speaker, located at the bottom of the device, can be replaced with ease if required.

Battery Replacements

We offer reliable and efficient iPhone battery replacements, ensuring your device gets back to optimal performance quickly. Standard battery replacements are straightforward and use genuine Apple batteries. However, due to Apple’s security system, your device may display a message stating that the battery is "not genuine" or "not installed correctly." This occurs because the battery’s built-in BMS chip is paired with the device’s logic board, and replacing the battery alone does not transfer this pairing.

If you prefer to avoid this message and retain full battery health visibility in settings, we offer a premium battery replacement service that includes a board swap from the old battery to the new. This advanced repair fully integrates the new battery with your device, but it comes at a higher cost.

Pros of a standard battery swap
  • Restore long-lasting battery!
  • Performance Boost! - Older degrading batteries tend to cause slower performance and unresponsiveness
  • Fast & Cheap!
Cons of a standard battery swap
  • Red Badge on Settings icon
  • Will lose Battery Health percentage within 'Battery' settings
  • Alert Message - "Unknown Part" in 'Battery' settings & when device reboot / restart
FaceID

Top Speaker

FaceID & Top (Ear) Speaker replacements can also be performed... but to a certain extent. First off, the FaceID & Top Speaker are attached together, typically we will separate these components so that we can replace the speaker with no problem, but unfortunately, if we was to replace your FaceID module, you would no longer have functioning FaceID since this specific biometric part is "Married" to the motherboard.

Screen Replacements

Screen replacements also cause the warning message to appear, but with specialised tools we can transfer your original FaceID/Home Button over to a new screen which means FaceID/TouchID will still work correctly, and we can also read the information from your old screen and write it to the new screen to ensure that the 'True Tone' functionality remains with your new screen, but again, you are likely to get an alert within your iPhones 'Settings' similar to whats seen in the images above and in the image below.
